About Art and Vampire Weekend*

I am very worried
about the effect
that Vampire Weekend
is having on the world of music
I’ve never listened
to any of their albums
Or gone to any
of their shows,
But I’ve read reviews
on the Internet
from people who know
so I think I know
what I’m talking about
I am worried
that too many white Americans
like their music
I’ve even heard a white person say
it’s because
white people have bad taste
in music
said from the horses mouth
Some people tell me
not all white people like Vampire Weekend
some like Celine Dion
but I’ve never heard of her
I’m just concerned
about Vampire Weekend
Every time that band
puts out another
horrible album
I think the white people
who don’t like or listen
to their music
should say something
Distancing themselves from it
The fact that so many white people
listen to Vampire Weekend
probably shows
a moral failing
in most white people’s
taste
in music.
